Tigressa finds herself here at the Marin Humane Society because her guardian passed away. After spending most of her life in a quiet indoor-only home, she finds the noise and activity of an animal shelter to be a bit overwhelming. Because Tigressa is rather sensitive to changes in her environment, we think she will be happiest in a new home where the children are quiet and respectful (10+) and where she can continue to live safely indoors.
Please give Tigressa a room of her own for the first few weeks, making sure that she has all of her kitty accoutrement. She will need a cozy bed with high sides, or even a snuggly kitty cube so that she can feel safe. Spend plenty of time visiting with her; she loves head scratches and petting. Eventually she'll be ready to explore the rest of your home, finding a sunny window to snooze in, and a warm spot on your lap. We think Tigressa is affectionate and sweet and will make a wonderful feline companion for people who appreciate her quiet, gentle soul.
