Little Coco reminds one of a small deer. She is graceful, delicate, and a bit on the timid side. Her shyness might stem from being surrendered after living with her previous guardian for several years. They adored Coco and yet with unexpected medical issues looming felt Coco deserved more.
One of the first things you will notice is her gentle, easy-going personality. In her youth she had a chance to kick up her heels, now she is ready for an easier lifestyle. If you play your cards right and get down low, you will discover one of Coco's greatest pleasures, being picked-up and cuddled.
We were also impressed with her behavior around other dogs. In fact, with the proper introductions she would make an excellent companion for your polite resident dog. She also might be a good candidate for living with a cat since she is so low key. One good sideways glance from a dog savvy cat should put her off cat chasing for good. She could probably live with a quiet, well mannered child of middle school age, but only with the understanding that she needs be asked to approach rather than cornered.
