Trixie arrived here from an overcrowded shelter in Northern California thanks to our wonderful Pet Partnership team. This gorgeous tabby thinks this is just grand, and she is looking forward to meeting her new family here in Marin. She is quite the confident and affectionate young lady who doesn't think twice about sharing body rubs and head bumps with new people she meets. She enjoys being petted and groomed, and she may, in a quite unladly like manner, drool with delight in the process. Trixie's new family MUST have the time to comb or brush her coat every day to keep it from developing painful mats and tangles. She is more than happy to cooperate with this ritual. She is not, however, fond of getting her nails trimmed, so please ask your vet to do this for you.
We think Trixie will do well with polite and respectful grade school children who understand how to pet and hold her. She showed a mild interest in pursuing a feather toy during her evaluation, so use toys as a way to get to know each other. We have no doubt Trixie will quickly consider herself one of the family.
