Dottie is "oh so cute" and unlike most Lionheads, is easy to pick-up. She really enjoys cardboard boxes to chew and play in. She's curious and loves to explore. She will need routine nail trimming and yearly vet exams. Dottie is very sweet but we think she would do best in a quiet home and with older children. Most Lionhead rabbits will let their people know when they want attention. If you are looking for a rabbit that will want to spend all of it's day with you, Dottie is probably not the one. However, if you like independent rabbits and ones that are active, she may the one for you!All rabbits need time outside of their enclosure to burn off energy and to kick up their feet! A long hallway or a room they haven't been in before will do the trick. Getting out of their enclosure for 2-3 hours a day is critical. Not only does it help with boredom, but it helps with moving their food through their delicate system. She should also be offered a variety of toys to keep her busy.She should eat unlimited amounts of Timothy, Oat and/or Orchard Grass hay, 2-3 tablespoons of pellets (no dried fruit or nut mixes), a small handful of veggies and an occasional piece of fruit as a treat.
